The New Blog Theme

Well after a week of working and tweaking the new theme for the blog is ready.

I welcome feedback and would like opinions on whether this theme is better suited for the blog. Any ideas on how to improve upon it is also welcome.

Enjoy the new theme.

Hello From New Writer

I’m not going to post a rant tonight, not just yet…i love suspense and stuff and it feels like i should hold you all up and get you all excited. I don’t know about you but to me I think it would totally make my post worth reading.  Now everyone keep breathing and remember to look at the world the way i do (that is… realizing that its not all just black and white[totally cliche!]. Thanks all,

Introducing A New Author!

As you all know, I am a bit slow at updating this blog, not because I am unmotivated, but simply because it takes time for me to do the research for a lot of my posts. I am busy with work, and finding the time for the blog is a slow process. So along for the ride I am bringing in a fresh new talent. He wants to get in on the game, and plans to bring his ranting to The Human Conditions.

So along with my irritating self you will now also be getting another talent for rant and comedy. To complement my posts he will provide rants about things that bother him. Soon I will release more information on this, and I hope you come to appreciate the new and busier blog.

This Cartoon may be funny, but its message is true.

We as humans have a natural desire to be healthy. This desire grows from our fear of death, and the understanding that the healthier we are the longer we will live. However this desire to be healthy can cause a downslide into unhealthy behavior. This is possible because what we consider healthy is a variable. Each person has their own idea of what it means to be healthy, and to make matters worse genetic differences between humans change what actually is healthy. In other words some people are just naturally larger than other people, and no matter what they do, will never be as skinny as the media says they should be.

This creates a conflict between what is healthy and what they are influenced to believe is healthy. So now that person who is genetically larger, not fat, but simply less defined muscularly or big boned is upset that they are unhealthy, even though they are. This can lead to depression, they are genetically incapable of becoming what they think healthy is so they become upset with themselves, which creates stress that they must find a way to deal with. The most common way, that I have noticed, that people deal with this stress is by eating. (more…)
