A perfect example

Things seem to be heating up over at Steve Gorelick’s blog: Media and Mayhem.
Two of his most recent articles: I’d Laugh If I Wasn’t Screaming: The Revolt of “The Soldiers of The Selfish Revolution”©, and I Have Heard From One of the “Soldiers of the Selfish Revolution”© reveal just how corrupt people in this society are!

Now I’m not saying I agree with every aspect of what Steve had to say, but he makes some very good points. I want to give a brief recap on his first article:I’d Laugh If I Wasn’t Screaming: The Revolt of “The Soldiers of The Selfish Revolution”©.

Today, in a compelling demonstration of just how compassionate and altruistic some people can be, thousands of people with health insurance gathered on Capitol Hill to protest a bill that would provide some coverage for those who are not covered.

Now Steve has seen this as a selfish act on the part of the protesters, and for some of them I’m sure it was; however with all the media’s whining and complaining about how bad the “Obamacare” bill is it’s no surprise that people would be out protesting it. People with health-care have just as much right, as the people without it, to decide how health-care should be handled in this country. There has been a lot of secrecy as far as the bill is concerned, and for the most part the politicians that support the bill have been caught lying about its intended purpose. Like Harry Reid for instance: Harry Reid Caught Lying About Healthcare Bill Price Tag article by texan2driver.

Now for the real meat of this story. Steve’s article: I Have Heard From One of the “Soldiers of the Selfish Revolution”© is his response to a comment that was placed on the first article. The person that posted the comment was like a shinning beacon that pointed to one thing and one thing only…. Stupidity. I should probably direct you to Steve’s blog article to read the comment, but I could not resist the opportunity to get in my two cents on how this guys comment pissed me off.

The Comment Steve Received:
I agree, I smoke and over eat, I am way overweight and I just found out I have diabetes. It’s only fair rich healthy people should pay for my health care. I have the freedom to abuse myself thats being a good american. I should nit be punished with higher insurance cost just becouse I love life.

Okay, is anyone else as pissed off about this comment as me. Seriously when people talk to me and say what is wrong with this country I now have a fat, ignorant, selfish, dumb ass to point to. Where in the constitution, bill of rights, or any other amendments does it say we have the right to abuse ourselves? I mean this man gave himself diabetes because he is to lazy and stupid to eat right and exercise. Then he goes on to say that he loves life, and has the freedom to abuse himself. How the hell do you say abusing yourself is loving life? I don’t know about you, but I thought it was against the law to kill yourself, so in fact you dumb ass you do not have the right to abuse yourself.

To make matters worse the guy replied a second time in response to Steve’s reply.

Reply to Steve’s Reply:
Dude, way are you being snooty at me? I’ve never been to college I bearly got out of high school, so back off. I’m for your cause. No one in my family has insurance back in Mexico, but they will as soon as Obama does what he promised. That day can’t come soon enough, most members of my family have never even seen a real doctor and I’m afraid time might be running out for some on them. The bill needs to pass so I can get my family up here to get treatment, all of them.

They warened us, we didn't listen.

They warned us, we didn't listen.

So now we have a reason for his stupidity, he didn’t finish school. Congratulations everyone this is a true American. He loves life so much that he never finished school, ate so poorly that he actually gave himself diabetes, and now he wants to bring his family over from Mexico to get free health-care in America from our tax payers. I hope they are American citizens or you my friend have just pissed off one half of the nation.

If you love life, get outside ride a bike visit a park do something instead of just sitting on your ass in front of the T.V. all day drinking beer. Nobody that purposely harms themselves deserves health-care. If you want to eat badly drink till your liver is shot fine but you do not deserve health-care. Reap what you sow live with your decisions they are your decisions and I refuse to pay for them.

  1. I agree! In fact, those comments piss me off so much I wish I could go slap that guy in the face, so that he flies all the way back to Mexico, where he belongs!
