Blasting has begun on West Virginia’s coal river mountain, which is common place in this part of the country, but coal river mountain is special. It’s special because it has the potential to become a wind farm that can provide 700 long term clean energy jobs, provide 85,000 households with electricity and give back $1.7 million in tax dollars.
t’s about time someone with authority stepped forward to make this problem known to the general public. When you can’t trust the media who do you have to turn to? For the most part the major argument towards a climate bill comes from the coal industry. They claim that the bill could result in job losses, a valid concern if I ever heard one. They are however forgetting the fact that people would need to be hired to help power the new clean fuel companies.
Now Steve has seen this as a selfish act on the part of the protesters, and for some of them I’m sure it was; however with all the media’s whining and complaining about how bad the “Obamacare” bill is it’s no surprise that people would be out protesting it. People with health-care have just as much right, as the people without it, to decide how health-care should be handled in this country. There has been a lot of secrecy as far as the bill is concerned, and for the most part the politicians that support the bill have been caught lying about its intended purpose. I am not against a health-care plan, I am against the twisting of it to make us think it is more helpful than it will be. This is the one time we can not allow the politicians to fool us. Please use your common sense and realize when politicians are lying. If we allow them to pass a plan that is not as helpful as they claim, we will suffer.
…After all it is the “House of Representatives” not the “House of politicians”. A politician is in it for themselves. A representative is in it for the people. They are the ones who we want to put in office. Right now the true representatives are outnumbered by the politicians. They are supposed to be the voice of the people, but instead most of them have decided to take advantage of us and make themselves rich. THAT is a politician, and it is time we get rid of them…
